The Joke Exchange
To get the tickle bones ready The Joke Exchange headed to Wolverhampton to prove a very important point; that the good folks of Wolverhmapton have loads of humour!
“We’re doing our own survey to find out how funny Wolverhampton is with the Joke Exchange.” Comments Festival Producer Jenny Smith. “Tell us a joke and we’ll tell you one back. If your joke gets chosen it will be reproduced on a hand-held placard in the city centre.”
Each day in September a different joke is being displayed on the streets of Wolverhampton so make sure you look out for your joke. If you spot one then tag us at @funnythingsBC and use the hashtag #JokeExchange.
On Saturday 28th October there will be a mass placard parade throughout the city centre of all the jokes that were chosen. And you’ll be able to see them at the Funny Things hub space in the Wulfrun Centre during the festival.
The Orchestra of Chaos
Funny Things 2017 is proud to present our very own festival band, The Orchestra of Chaos (OOC)! OOC features Barry Bling from the Black Country on his Yamyamha Keyboard and Mr Velvet on miniature drums!
OOC will be performing throughout the festival as well as representing Funny Things on the road! The Foursome will head to the Four Corners of the Black Country in their Bling machine tour bus to bring the Funny Things Comedy Festival experience to your doorstep! Look out for the festival band, popping up in a café, chip shop, street corner or hairdressers near you.
The OOC will be joined by the glamorous Blingettes ‘Press Gang’ for additional chaos, who will be collecting your funny stories and photos on their travels, for a digital live social media zine. Expect much singing, dancing, comedy capers galore, laughter and plenty of audience participation with a sprinkling of chaos guaranteed.
If you run a café, chip shop, hairdressers, or any other kind of public space in the black country, and would like to invite The Orchestra Of Chaos to visit you during the festival (between 25th October and 7th November) then please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet and tag @FunnyThingsBC. The more unusual the venue the better. Any time, any place, OOC will be there with extra Bling. You could see Orchestra of Chaos coming to a street near you soon.
More to be announced.
