How your sponsorship will be invested into the Festival?
We have lots of exciting projects and events planned for the festival, and with your help, we could make the festival even more special for local people and visitors to the city. Your support could contribute to:

Funny Things Gala Event – 3 of the biggest names in comedy.

Special artist commissions – We will be working with local people to get Wolverhampton and the Black Country laughing. During Funny Things 2017 we had joke placards across the city and the Orchestra of Chaos touring shops, offices and pubs. Anything could be possible this year!

Special events – We are working with wonderful venues in Wolverhampton and some brilliant regional organisations to put on some very special events and activities, including Flatpack who combine film with live performance and Centrala who will be bringing Eastern European comedians and artists to the festival.

Children’s programme – We are running the festival during half term, so there will be loads of fun family events and activities throughout the week

Workshops – The festival will give people an opportunity to have a go at comedy themselves, with workshops including stand-up comedy, improvisation and cartoon drawing

Assistant Producer – We are creating an opportunity for a local person to develop their skills in event management through a paid trainee post of Assistant Producer. This opportunity will include training and mentoring from the festival producer and CBC team.

Stand-up comedy pub programme – We are working with The Lych Gate Tavern and The Giffard to showcase some of the fantastic talents on the comedy circuit, with local and national comedians fresh from Edinburgh Fringe.
