The Stand-Up Challenge arrives in Wolverhampton and is supported by local business people who take up the challenge to write and perform their first ever five minutes
of stand-up comedy. Performing live on stage, in front of their colleagues, clients, friends and family, whilst raising funds for Funny Things in 2019.
After months of preparation and training by a leading comedian, these six well known leaders of the local business community will attempt this amazing feat and one will be crowned the Wolverhampton Stand Up Challenge Winner 2017.
Hosted by a special guest comedian – these brave participants from the business community take centre stage whilst you feast on food included in your ticket price.

Supported by Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Molineux Stadium, Black Country Business Festival, Ramada Park Hall, BodyKraft, Wolverhampton Racecourse and organised in association with Associate Events Limited.

Like the most memorable of UK gales, Katie Pritchard is blowing over the patio furniture of comedy, partially damaging the garden fence of genre and dropping a large, sturdy branch onto the car bonnet of musicality.

Earth’s most prestigious comedy anti-competition has landed. Who shall succeed? Who shall perish amidst the fires? Who shall be crowned earth’s champion? The Glang Show is a fully interactive gong show set in an anarchoutopian magical realist feudal theocracy.

MAGICAL SCIENCE OF THE DANGEROUS

This show is cabaret like you have never seen before. A combination of real science, mischief, comedy and downright dangerousness with two of the Black Country’s Leading performance scientists Martin Khechara and Jon Wood. If you thought that science was boring then think again.
